Lisa Ruderman
Lisa’s
marketing career encompasses twenty years of agency, industry and
consulting experience. After starting on the service side in
advertising, she focused on Consumer Products Brand Management before
shifting into global marketing. From 1989 to 1997, Lisa held a number
of assignments in Consumer Brand Management, New Products, and Global
Category Development at Bristol-Myers Squibb. Since leaving BMS, she
has been a consultant to the pharmaceutical and consumer healthcare
industry.
Lisa’s distinctive combination of creative business thinking,
analytical rigor, and scientific curiosity powers innovative,
evidence-based solutions to brands’ strategic challenges. Her
classical training and global experience provides the backbone to the
value she provides to her pharmaceutical clients. Deep knowledge of
the drug development process, combined with a collaborative approach -
working with internal and external experts across scientific, medical,
clinical, regulatory and commercial disciplines - enables her to
maximize cross-functional contributions to each initiative.
As an independent consultant working with large and small
pharmaceutical companies, Lisa has been responsible for compounds
across the spectrum of development stages: pre-clinical through phase
1, 2 and 3, NDA submissions, and launch planning. She has diverse
pharmaceutical category experience ranging from patient-driven
diabetes, pain and anti-depressants to physician-driven
rheumatology and respiratory to acute care
cardiovascular and CV-nephropathy therapies.
Her roles at BMS in global category development led to first-hand
experience across continents from cough cold, vitamins and deodorant
franchises in Latin America and Southeast Asia to analgesics,
skincare, diagnostics and women’s healthcare in Europe, China and
Japan.
Lisa earned a BA in psychology at the University of Vermont and an MBA
from Columbia Business School with a concentration in Marketing and
International Business.
